Dear Members,

It is with heavy hearts that the SRAI Alabama-Mississippi Chapter leadership has made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel the 2020 Alabama-Mississippi Chapter Meeting set to take place Friday, July 10 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

We realize that many are disappointed, as are we the Alabama-Mississippi Chapter Leadership. SRAI would like to thank those who were assisting with the planning of this meeting for their continued hard work and dedication. We are committed to doing our part to help protect the well-being of our attendees. We understand the gravity of the situation for all those who utilize SRAI meetings to accelerate their education and professional development and do not make this decision lightly.

If you are interested in continuing education options this year, SRAI will be hosting additional meetings and events, including the 2020 Annual Meeting in Boston, MA from October 17-21. Please contact registration@srainternational.org for registration options.https://www.sraannualmeeting.org/2020/index.cfm In the meantime, please remember to cancel any personal arrangements, such as travel and lodging reservations. If you have any questions, you may get in touch with Debbie Appler at dappler@srainternational.org.

Our chapter will hold our official Business Meeting by conference and video call on Monday, June 15, 2020- Invite forthcoming. During this meeting, we will transition our leadership to the newly-elected officers and begin planning next steps for the chapter. We are planning for next year's meeting to take place at UA in order to take advantage of the wonderful vendors and site team who worked so hard to prepare this year. Also, we are planning to utilize existing SRAI virtual platforms, such as Connect and the option for webinars, to provide chapter-specific information and content over the next several months.

Please be on the lookout for information about these things and stay well. I am looking forward to continuing to work with you all!

Sincerely,
Stephanie Hyche, Alabama-Mississippi Chapter President
