After April Fools’ Day we decided to explore some more fun at the workplace. Did you know that April Fool’s Day was also called All Fools’ Day and is celebrated by different cultures and several countries? Its exact origins remain a mystery. On this day, people play pranks and elaborate practical jokes on one another. Some of these have appeared on radio and TV stations, newspapers, websites, and have been performed by large corporations. April Fools' can be good for one's health because it encourages "jokes, hoaxes...pranks, [and] belly laughs", and brings all the benefits of laughter including stress relief and reducing strain on the heart [1]. So why not take some time to smile, laugh and have some fun this month.

But why do we need just one day of the year to enjoy humor? Humor can be found in some of the most unlikely places-especially at work! Here are some jokes and pranks that have been submitted by our readers! Can you think of anything funny that happened at work? We would love to hear from you and make out of the one day in April a whole year full of fun!

Angela Behrend, Dominique Gambino, and Kimberly Pratt, decided to tell us some fun stories about their workplaces and what role humor plays for them at work. Don't miss to read their stories in this issue of the Catalyst.
