Renewal Application Process

Renewal Application Process

Deadline: June 7, 2024

Term of Appointment

The term of Distinguished Faculty service will be three (3) years. There are no term limits.

Renewal nomination applications

Each DF member’s status will be considered for renewal every three years. Status can be renewed by submitting

  • A renewal form online
  • A current CV/resume that specifically highlights the individual’s activities as an instructor, author, speaker, webinar/workshop leader, and/or mentor as well as any education-service related activities in the field of RA that occurred during the preceding three years.
  • A list of your subject matter areas of expertise

The renewal process will be as follows:

  1. SRAI HQs will notify the DF member when it is time to renew his/her DF
  2. Individuals wishing to continue as an active DF member must be a member in good standing and will be asked to provide the Chair(s) of the DF Subcommittee with an up-to-date resume or CV that specifically highlights the individual’s activities as an instructor, author, speaker, webinar/workshop leader, and/or mentor as well as any education-service related activities in the field of RA that occurred during the preceding three
  3. A review panel will be established by the Chair(s) of the DF Subcommittee to evaluate the DF member’s SRAI activities as an instructor, author, speaker, webinar/workshop leader, and/or mentor occurring within the preceding three
  4. SRAI (staff) will provide the review panel with any available evaluation data on each renewal DF member’s SRAI activities as an instructor
  5. Each DF member will be notified by the Chair(s) of the DF Subcommittee about the outcome of the review and follow-up options (as needed).
  6. Possible outcomes of the renewal process include:
    1. Full renewal of DF status for another three-year term
    2. Conditional renewal. For this outcome, applicant will be given specific instruction on area(s) of improvement necessary and/or areas in which their renewal application was lacking sufficient evidence necessary for a full renewal. The DF will also then be given a specific deadline to demonstrate improvement or provide the necessary information that was lacking, where the Chair(s) will determine the Full renewal status.
    3. Non-renewal of DF status. The DF will then be moved to Emeritus status and encouraged to reapply for active status during the next review cycle.

If for any reason an individual cannot continue to serve and wishes to relinquish his/her Distinguished Faculty status they may do so by contacting SRA International.

All past Distinguished Faculty will be listed on the SRA International website as Distinguished Faculty Emeritus.

Notification

Candidates will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance in writing from SRA International. Renewal status is not automatic.  If a renewal application is denied for any reason, that individual may reapply in a future year.
