The European Union's (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) enters into force on May 25, 2018. It is the biggest change to data protection law in a generation. With widened extra-territoriality (extending the reach of EU law beyond the borders of the EU) it will affect not just those within the EU, but potentially organizations worldwide.
