The Power of Humor!

 for Research Administrators
Presented by Award Winning Comedian, Nancy Norton, RN, CHP

Destress with laughter.

This interactive presentation is a fast-paced mix of storytelling, standup comedy and peer to peer sharing.  Laugh and experience the benefits of humor as you gather your own anecdotal evidence for yourself.  Reflect on times humor has helped you through a rough patch, or an inside running joke or favorite meme you share with your team and consider sharing with your peers during this session.  There will not be a quiz, just enjoy the laughs and form your own conclusions about the benefits of humor.

Nancy is a Former Nurse turned award winning comedian who knows how to find humor in almost any situation to help relieve stress and wants to help others to do the same.  Norton spent the past 3 years studying therapeutic humor and is a CHP, Certified Humor Professional, from the Association of Applied and Therapeutic Humor and is a Nationally touring comedian and the host of the Tromedy podcast intending to show folks how to take their pain and transmute it with comedy to help them heal from traumas, make life more manageable and much more fun!  Tromedy is not a replacement for trauma therapy, but may help you stay motivated between sessions.
