Is the LevelUP Micro-credential program and the Research Management Specialist Certificate completely online?
Yes! The LevelUP micro-credential program is 100% online and can be completed at the learner's own pace and at their own time. 

What is the difference between mGuides and modules? 
mGuides are compact learning experiences that serve as "how-to" guides for the learner to understand a specific skill set. Each mGuide takes about 1 to 3 hours to complete and there is no assessment. 

Modules are more in-depth learning courses that go over larger topical areas (like Pre-Award, Post-Award Finance, Research Compliance, etc.) and are completed by taking a 50-question assessment. Each module takes about 2 to 5 hours to complete. 

How much time do I have to complete the mGuide or module and assessment?
Learners have 365 days from date of purchase to complete the mGuide or module and assessment. Within that time, you may complete the coursework at any time that works best for you and your schedule.

If I close the course, will my progress still be saved?
Yes. The courses are designed to save your progress and will automatically reload where you left off if you sign-out of the program.

Is there an online assessment? 
There is an online assessment for LevelUP modules that users must pass to complete the LevelUP module and earn their badge. 

Can I close the assessment to return and finish later?
Assessments must be taken in one sitting; progress is not saved and if you close out of the assessment you will need to retake the assessment from the beginning.

How long is the assessment?
The assessment is comprised of 50 questions that are chosen at random and there is no time limit to complete the assessment as long as it is completed in one sitting.

What types of questions are on the assessment?
Question styles include multiple choice and true/false.

What is the assessment’s passing score?
Learners must earn a minimum score of 75% to pass the module and earn CEU credit.

How many times am I allowed to take the assessment?
Learners are allowed to take the assessment up to a maximum of 4 times. If a learner fails to pass the exam after their 4th try, they must re-purchase the module to obtain CEU credit and earn a LevelUP badge.

Is the assessment open book?
Yes, the assessment is open book! Learners can go back into the module and review content as they work on the assessment.

What is the LevelUP Research Management Specialist badge?
The LevelUP  Research Management Specialist Certificate badge is a downloadable credential you received upon completing a 39 CEUs thorough the completion of LevelUP Modules & mGuides, and Case Study to showcase your learning.

How do I obtain access to my completed badge Micro-credential for modules and mGuides?
Upon passing the assessment, learners will receive an email with instructions on how to download their Micro-credential and showcase it on various platforms.

How do I obtain access to the Badge for the Research Management Specialist Certificate?
Upon completion of the case study, you will receive the badge in your email. You will be able to download it and showcase it on all platforms to show off your acquired knowledge and expertise.

Badges link to email signature lines and social media accounts for easy viewing by colleagues, organizations, and prospective employers.
