Research Contract Review and Negotiation Intensive

The 2026 Research Contract Review and Negotiation Intensive will be held virtually and occur over a three-week period, March 3 - 19, 2026. The cohort will meet on Tuesdays & Thursdays for 2-hour sessions starting at 1:00 PM ET via Zoom. Online classes will also be recorded and available for 30 days following the program. Registrants will be provided with login details prior to the event.

March 3, 2026	Classroom Session 1	2 hours	Introduction to cohort, overview course events. Discuss what makes up a contract, what you need to include when drafting and what you can expect to see from sponsors when they start from their own document.
March 5, 2026	Classroom Session 2	2 hours	Walkthrough of standard contract terms and conditions providing an overview of purpose and considerations based on organization and agreement type.
March 10, 2026	Classroom Session 3	2 hours	Contracting considerations when negotiating with foundations and for-profit sponsors as well as clinical trial agreements.
March 12, 2026	Classroom Session 4	2 hours	Contracting considerations when negotiating federal, state and local government agreements.
March 17, 2026	Classroom Session 5	2 hours	Contracting considerations when negotiating miscellaneous agreement types that support or are related to research.
March 19, 2026	Classroom Session 6	2 hours	Contracting best practices and addressing outstanding issues from previous sessions.
