Tracie Bistany

Associate Director, Oncology Research Finance
Levine Cancer Institute, Atrium Health

Tracie Bistany is the Associate Director Oncology Research Finance at Levine Cancer Institute (LCI), Atrium Health. LCI is a 25-site Oncology Network that spans throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia, providing access to cancer care where patients live. She has been employed by Atrium Health for almost 16 years and has been a part of research for the last 11 years. In her current role, she directs all the financial aspects of clinical trials, which includes development of a detailed coverage analysis for all protocols, financial review of the clinical trial agreements, research billing, clinical trial billing audits, and invoicing sponsors.

She completed her B.A. degree in Accounting from University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is a member of various accounting and clinical research groups.

Kelly Denney

Associate Director, Financial Compliance
Office of Clinical Research for Indiana

Kelly Denney, CCRP, is an Associate Director of Financial Compliance in the Office of Clinical Research for Indiana and has worked in clinical research since 2013. She is a founding member of Indiana University’s centralized coverage analysis team where she helped to lead the formation of a centralized Medicare Coverage Analysis review process. Kelly now works to direct other research billing compliance projects across the school and health system. Previously, as a Research Business Administrator within the IU School of Medicine, she developed expertise in clinical trial budget creation and negotiation. In her free time, Kelly enjoys reading and spending time with her husband, their energetic and comedic eleven-year-old son, and the family cat.

Brian Sevier

Chief Operations Officer
Yale Center for Clinical Investigation

Brian Sevier is the Chief Operations Officer (COO) for the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation (YCCI). As part of the YCCI, Brian is leading a team of professionals and infrastructure resources to support translational research and science; from study design and development, to study activation, and operational enrollment and recruitment services. This includes supporting activities for the Yale CTSA (UL1, KL2, and TL1) award from the NIH National Center for Advancing Translational Science (NCATS).

He has been involved in academic research administration for over 20-years, and has previously led contracts and grants administration for the University of Florida Health Sciences Center, and clinical research operations at the University of Florida Office of Clinical Research, UF Health Cancer Center, and the UF Clinical and Translational Science Institute, where he most recently held the role as Director of the Office of Clinical Research and COO for the UF CTSI.

Chelsie Willoughby, CRA

Division Administrator, Division of Gastroenterology/Hepatology
Indiana University Department of Medicine

Chelsie Willoughby is Division Administrator in the Division of GI/Hepatology at Indiana University, where she has been since joining IU in 2017. Chelsie’s work in the Division prior to becoming DA has included both pre- & post-award management of a large portfolio of industry & federal-passthrough sponsored clinical trials. In her free time, Chelsie enjoys working with her husband to renovate and restore their 1897-built historic home & keeping their mischievous pups out of the wet paint.
