Manager's Toolbox Program

Program Description

Effective management and leadership are essential components for any organization to succeed. Managers play a critical role in organizations as they bridge the gap between senior executives and front-line team members. This training will equip managers with the necessary skills, knowledge, and tools to effectively lead and manage their teams, make informed decisions, and achieve organizational goals while also fostering a positive work environment.

In the first 1.5 hours of this six-hour intensive training program, participants will learn the fundamental differences between management and leadership. They will understand the definitions of both terms and how they complement each other. Participants will gain an appreciation for the importance of both management and leadership in the workplace. The remaining 1.5 hours of the first half of the program will focus on management strategies. Participants will learn how to effectively plan, organize, lead, and control resources to achieve specific goals.

The second half of the program will focus on communication and managing people, as well as practical skills for managers. Participants will learn different communication styles and techniques, as well as the art of active listening and effective feedback. Conflict resolution strategies and the building and managing of teams will also be covered. The last 1.5 hours of the program will cover practical skills for managers, such as decision-making and problem-solving techniques, managing performance, conducting performance reviews, managing difficult conversations, and providing constructive feedback. Participants will also learn how to identify ways to manage stress and burnout in the workplace.
