2019 Midwest/Northeast Section Meeting

Please join us at the Midwest/Northeast Section Meeting April 28 - May 1, 2019 at the Hyatt Centric Magnificent Mile in beautiful downtown Chicago. A qualitative program will be offered in this vibrant city. Chicago is home to several world-class theaters, museums, and educational institutions. We hope you will come to Chicago and expand your research administration knowledge, network with your colleagues, meet new friends, and explore this exciting and historic city.

LEARN. This meeting will offer three complete certificate programs – Research Development, Leadership, and Clinical Trials 101 (CTR101) – as well as workshops, learning cafés, roundtables, and five educational tracks to round out the program, including:

  • Professional Development (PD)
  • Clinical Research (CR)
  • Management & Operations (MO)
  • Financial & Post-Award Management (FM)
  • Research Ethics & Compliance (RE)

PRESENT. Are you interested in presenting a session or workshop? Whether you have presented once or hundreds of times, we encourage you to submit your ideas. Additional information can be found on our meeting webpage under "Call for Proposals." Deadline for submitting a proposal is Wednesday, November 7th at midnight. We hope you will consider submitting!

THEME. Thank you to everyone who submitted a theme suggestion for the 2019 meeting. We received numerous submissions and have decided to combine two suggested themes to create the 2019 Chicago meeting theme “Research Management Architecture and all that Jazz!" Congratulations to our theme winners Cheryl Forst and Domenica Pappas.

NETWORK. Join us at for the Opening Reception on Monday, April 28 at the Chicago Sports Museum. Network with you SRAI colleagues and enjoy high-tech interactive experiences—including skill challenges and simulated experiences—with unique sports memorabilia and an impressive collection of game-used treasures and other artifacts.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR. Plan to attend what promises to be an extraordinary conference. This meeting is the perfect opportunity to network with your fellow Research Administrators and to visit the City of Chicago.
