SRAI has overcome a lot and our financial position is holding steady. This is due to a tremendous effort from our prior International Treasurer, Cliff Schofield, and the entire leadership over the past ten years.
We are continuing to improve! Our meetings are a success due to the efforts of the section and chapter leaders, as well as, the co-chairs of the annual meeting and our Headquarters staff.
Our future will even be brighter! SRAI’s Board of Directors has been approving many things during my tenure, including a new Micro-credentialing program that will be launched in 2019. In order to achieve this brighter future, financial investments have been made in our technology. We have invested in a new learning platform and we are moving to a new website provider who has the capabilities of reducing processing to update the website and make it more interactive.
How were we able to make these investments? We are focused on our strategic plan. We are reducing the “red tape” and streamlining processes (Objective V). We are expanding volunteer opportunities for our members (Objective I). We are enhancing our technologies (Objective II). We are developing the Micro-credentialing (Objective III). We are continuing to work towards increasing our membership (Objective IV). Accomplishing these goals will further enhance SRAI status as premier organization and will be the foundation for those leaders who follow. Success with these goals will also help us achieve the 9 months of fixed cost expense reserve (Objective VI).
This time of the year is budget building crunch time for all our sections, chapters, committees, Headquarters and Board. My goal is to keep the ship steady. Thank you for the confidence in me to do this.
Remember, all of this happens only through the hard work of all our members and leaders at all levels, as well as the superb Headquarters staff!
