Mark your calendars to attend the upcoming Western/Southern Section Meeting at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, March 10 – 13, 2019, in beautiful San Diego, California. The Co-Chairs and Planning Committee are hard at work to make this a memorable meeting for all. Be on the lookout for an email from SRAI announcing the opening of registration in the coming weeks.

We encourage you to apply for a travel scholarship if your office budget is tight and you want to take advantage of this great opportunity for professional development. If you don’t apply, you won’t receive anything; if you do apply, your chances increase to be a winner, so don’t delay.

And do you know how we are able to provide travel scholarships each year? Thanks to you and your donations to the Silent Auction - so we hope you’ll all participate by bringing something to donate either from your institution, city, or state, or even from San Diego itself. There are great places to shop in San Diego, so picking up something after you arrive makes perfect sense to avoid having to pack an extra item. Leave room in your suitcase, though, so you can take back the things you win by outbidding others. We can’t stress enough the importance of our Silent Auction to raise funds for someone to win a free registration for the next Southern/Western Section meeting, which will be held in Savannah, Georgia, in 2020. For all you artists out there, this is your time to shine! Bring along some of your beautiful things to contribute to the auction and to share with all of us.
