THE ART and SCIENCE of RESEARCH ADMINISTRATION
March 11, 2020 at the University of Maryland, College Park

This year's meeting will focus on The Art and Science of Research Administration. Research administrators need knowledge (e.g., know the rules, know the policies) and abilities (sponsor systems, data management). That is the SCIENCE. They also need skills such as leadership, communication, and customer service. That is the ART. To be successful, a research administrator needs to balance the ART and SCIENCE.

You will have the opportunity to participate in a day of concurrent sessions to learn about topics such as:

  • Acquiring and Improving Leadership Skills
  • Use Data in Grants Management
  • Identifying Proposal Writing Tips and Tools
  • Effectively use the NIH Policy Statement
  • Understand Recent Changes to NSF-Funded Grants

Join us as we explore the ART and SCIENCE of Research Administration on March 11th at the University of Maryland, College Park.
