Delaware Valley Chapter

The Delaware Valley Chapter is looking forward to a very productive year ahead with their new leadership team. DVSRAI has posted and transitioned to their 2020/2021 newly elected Officers.

I would like to acknowledge and congratulate our new Delaware Valley Chapter (DVSRAI) leadership:

rmebuin.pngPresident - Reuel Mebuin, Ph.D., CRA, Reuel joins us from Rutgers State University of New Jersey. As a Research Support Specialist in the Office of Research & Sponsored Program, he also has experience as a Contract and Grant Specialist in the Research Office and a Program Assistant: Office of Grants and Sponsored Programs. His major accomplishments are working with Award set up teams to reduce award set up to an average of 10 business days, as well as, working with the proposal submission team to facilitate submitting all proposals via RAPSS. Reuel has expressed his Research Interests, as higher education policy, research administration, diversity & Inclusions, Governance Accountability, and Leadership.



mklein.pngPresident ElectMary Klein, PhD, MHA, CRA, CIP is currently the Director of the Office of Research and Technology Development for Albert Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia. Originally hired by Einstein as a researcher, she transitioned to research administration in 2003, joined SRAI in 2004, participated as an active member of the planning committee for the SRAI Delaware Valley Chapter from 2013-2018 and previously served as Secretary of the Delaware Valley Chapter in 2016-2018. She has also participated as a room monitor for national and chapter meetings, participated in the SRAI Senior Executive Institute in 2018 and is currently a member of the Recruitment and Engagement Subcommittee under the Membership Committee of SRAI.



pmartin.pngSecretary- Patrice S. Martin, MS, CGMS joins us from Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Patrice Martin is an experienced nonprofit scholar-practitioner with over twenty years of experience in grants and program management in the public and nonprofit sectors. Patrice has a MS. in Nonprofit Management from the Robert Morris University School of Business, a BA in Sociology and a BA in Public Administration from the University of Pittsburg. Patrice is currently a Doctor of Business Administration candidate at Wilmington University New Castle, Delaware. Additionally, she holds the Certified Grants Management Specialist certification from the National Grants Management Association. Patrice remains connected community initiatives serving as a pro-bono grant consultant and volunteer when needed.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the outgoing leadership for all their hard work and dedication. Secretary- Malusha Fobler, Rutgers State University of New Jersey, thank you for coming in on a minute’s notice to relieve Reuel Mebuin of his secretarial duties to concentrate on his role as president elect. Special Thanks to Treasurer-Rebecca Chen, Rutgers State University of New Jersey, for completing her first term and doing a wonderful job with our budget planning for our 2020 meeting at Swarthmore College. Rebecca is looking forward to finishing up year two to complete her term as DVSRAI treasurer. It has been my utmost pleasure this past year to serve as President of this chapter.
