Join Us at the 2021 iSRA Joint Section Meeting
We are excited to announce the 2021 iSRA Joint Section Meeting! Due to the concern for our members’ health and safety, all sections of SRAI will be meeting virtually. This will be a weeklong conference that makes available workshops, main events, educational sessions, and networking opportunities. Many of these will count toward SRAI certificate requirements. Through these sessions, you can continue to grow professionally and learn new ways to help you on the job.
The joint meeting features two great keynote speakers. The first is Dr. Warren Buck, who is Chancellor Emeritus and Professor Emeritus at the University of Washington Bothell. He is a physicist and meditation instructor, and his research interests include theoretical relativistic quantum mechanics, QCD, physics, and art. Dr. Buck will be speaking about how to find calm, how to keep your mind fresh, and how to relax.
The second keynote speaker is Dr. Lawrence Carey from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Dr. Carey is a professor in the Department of Atmospheric and Earth Science. He teaches graduate-level classes in dual-polarization radar meteorology and precipitation physics for radar. He also teaches undergraduate-level classes in radar meteorology, thunderstorms, lightning, severe storms, mesoscale meteorology, and precipitation physics. Dr. Carey will talk about climate change with a focus on severe weather tracking.
Registration is currently open at https://www.srainternational.org/virtualsectionmeeting/home. We invite you to hear these two great speakers and learn new ideas from the available workshops and sessions. We may not meet in person, but we can still gather virtually and share our ideas and successes.
We look forward to seeing you there!
