Co-Editors
Meet Tamara Ginter, CFRA: I am Tamara Ginter, the current Director of Finance for the College of Media & Communication at Texas Tech University. I have been in this role since 2007 and oversee all aspects of the budget within the college, including sponsored projects. I have been involved with SRAI since 2023 and am a Certified Financial Research Administrator since 2024. I am excited for the opportunity to serve on the SRAI Catalyst as a co-editor of the Grant Management and Financial Oversight (Post-Award) section. I look forward to working with my co-editor Betty and the Catalyst committee members.
Meet Betty Morgan, CRA: With over 20+ years in life-cycle research administration, I enjoy the rewards and challenges of this ever-changing profession! I'm passionate about my career and the many adventures it has taken me on. I've had the privilege of working at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Duke University, George Washington University, and now at North Carolina State University. I am a member of NCURA and SRAI. I enjoy presenting at in-person and virtual conferences, contributing to committees, volunteering, and publishing articles. A few of my favorite aspects of RA are the ever-changing and constant learning environment; being a part of groundbreaking research (without being a scientist!) and building resources and collaborations with other RA professionals around the world.
As your co-editors, we look forward to diving into post award topics using a variety of article types, including how-to guides for solving a problem or mastering a skill, case studies of real-world examples faced by peers, interviews with industry leaders, and book reviews for professional development success. We would also like to expand the voice of the members by encouraging first-time contributors. We can help you find a topic and even pair you with an experienced co-author. You can gain experience and expand your professional development opportunities by volunteering on the section committee.
