Together in Trust, Tenacity, and Purpose: Strengthening SRAI for Tomorrow

The Society of Research Administrators International (SRAI) remains a leading voice and innovator in delivering training, fostering professional networks, and supporting the growth of research administration and management. I am honored to serve as the current Treasurer and Chair of the Development and Finance Committee, and I am deeply grateful to you—our members—for entrusting me with this important responsibility.

With over 25 years of experience in central, departmental, and pre- and post-award administration, SRAI has been instrumental in shaping my career; enhancing my technical expertise, refining my leadership skills, and helping me build a trusted professional network. I began my leadership journey with SRAI in 2014 as Northeast Section President Elect, served on the International Board of Directors, and was elected Treasurer in 2019. I’m proud to be a Distinguished Faculty Member and regular presenter at both Section and Annual Meetings.

I strongly believe in our community’s responsibility to share knowledge and in SRAI’s mission to provide accessible, high-quality education on the most pressing topics in our profession. As Treasurer, I remain committed to safeguarding the organization’s fiscal health and ensuring responsible stewardship of its resources.

Over the past several years, our Society has confronted considerable challenges —economic uncertainty, shifting institutional priorities, and the evolving needs of our global membership. Despite these hurdles, SRAI has continued to grow; creating innovative educational programs, expanding access through flexible pricing and virtual formats, and maintaining a solid financial position through disciplined and transparent management.

While we have made great strides, the effects of recent disruptions continue to shape the landscape ahead. Navigating this evolving environment will require steady leadership, financial discipline, and a continued focus on innovation. I am seeking re-election in 2025 to build on our progress, learn from our challenges, and help position SRAI for long-term success.

I remain fully committed to ensuring the financial stability and forward momentum of our Society, while continuing to evolve our in-person and virtual educational offerings. The foundation we build today will support the future of our profession and sustain SRAI’s legacy of excellence and global leadership.
