Dear Readers,
Information is an incredibly powerful resource. In any profession, keeping pace with the speed of change is crucial—and in our field, perhaps even indispensable. Nevertheless, the real, measurable impact lies in how that knowledge is applied.
Research administrators must ensure that their teams and institutions can adequately comply with the latest regulatory updates, follow recommended best practices, and decipher the latest technological developments; all while successfully navigating the complex technical, ethical, and financial considerations that inevitably follow.
In this issue of Catalyst Quarterly, we seek to uncover what that actually means in practice. From practical advice on new investigator onboarding and faculty training, to the practicable ways in which professionals can thrive and grow while balancing endless to-do lists. Articles in this edition highlight real-world experiences of those who implement and oversee these initiatives, the students and budding professionals who benefit from them, and the resources available to those who just need to know where to look.
