The International Section of SRAI will hold a Special Business Meeting to vote on the proposed revisions to the International Section Bylaws.
The proposed changes include removing Article VI, Chapters. The Board of Directors approved the decision to sunset Chapters as of September 30, 2023, in accordance with the SRAI Bylaws. The documents included above outline the changes to the Section Bylaws. Chapters were an option for a subunit within a Section specified by a specific geographic area. For individuals interested in coordinating a Special Interest Group, the process will be managed by the Sections, but will not be a part of the Section Bylaws.
All members in attendance at the Special Business Meeting will have the opportunity to vote on adopting these changes. If you are not able to participate and would like to provide a written statement, please send your written statement to Fikria El Kaouakibi, International Section President, at felkaouakibi@vcu.edu. There will be an open discussion before the vote and all statements will be read.
