Preparing for a Financial Audit Mini-Intensive

Preparing for a sponsored program financial audit is a process involving people at all levels of the institution that is meant to help achieve the institution’s objectives while also protecting its resources and reputation. This session will look at all stages of a financial audit and provide guidance and strategies on how to effectively manage a sponsored program audit including examples from four institutions of higher education of effective financial audit management, internal controls, and implementation of the primary principles of COSO’s Internal Control Integrated Framework to maintain trust with sponsors and deter improper activities.
