I’m consistently impressed by the depth and comprehensiveness of SRA International’s workshops. Regardless of your level within the field, the material is relevant across the various research settings that we all work in.
Staying current in your field and learning new skills and broadening your horizons are important aspects of a successful career. There is a great value associated with SRA International membership and its professional development and training opportunities. Regardless of level, anyone in the field of research management and administration owes it to themselves to become a member of SRA International.
I am a member of several RA Professional Development organizations, but SRAI is the one that first welcomed me with open arms and opened the doors and encouraged me to get more involved. When I started to meet and get to know other SRAI colleagues, it felt like home – like long-lost cousins.
I love SRA International’s diversity and its culture of openness. It is enriching to be active in an organization whose membership spans the entire spectrum of research institutions and locations around the world. In addition, this organization has encouraged me to be involved and provided opportunities to do so.
Being part of SRAI has provided opportunities in professional growth and leadership where I couldn’t have gotten it even at my local institution. Being part of an organization where members are welcoming and open to sharing their resources has been career-changing and given me a track that I want to follow as I progress into other facets of research administration.
