In preparation for Research Administrator Day 2024, SRAI is excited to announce RAs in Motion Week-Long Step Challenge!

What is the RAs in Motion Week-Long Step Challenge?

The "RAs in Motion Week-Long Step Challenge" is a fitness competition designed to celebrate the demanding work of Research Administrators. This challenge encourages participants to achieve the highest number of steps within a week. By blending the spirit of healthy competition with a focus on well-being, it serves as our way of expressing gratitude and supporting the physical health of Research Administrators.

Why participate?
  1. Wellness: Focus on your physical and mental health by staying active throughout the week. Regular exercise can elevate your mood, reduce stress, and enhance overall well-being.
  2. Movement: Take breaks from your desk and enjoy some time outside. RAs in Motion Week-Long Step Challenge encourages you to explore your environment, wherever you are.
  3. Self-Care: Prioritizing yourself is essential. The Challenge serves as a reminder to engage in self-care and dedicate time to activities that bring you happiness.

When does the challenge take place?

The challenge takes place from September 23 - 29, 2024.

Who can participate?

Research Administrators at any and all levels! You’ve got two ways to shine in our Step Challenge: go solo and show off your personal step power, or team up with up to 10 of your fellow colleagues!

We’ll be announcing one solo superstar and one incredible team who have the most steps at the end of the challenge, so sign up today to get those steps in and let’s see who can top the leaderboard!   

How to start:

Sign up for the RAs in Motion Week-Long Step Challenge!

  1. Download the Pacer app using this link OR scan QR code to download the Pacer App and use the challenge code YP104351
  2. Join as an individual or as a team of 10! We encourage members to create teams of their own. The top individual and team will be rewarded!
  3. The Pacer App will track your steps from your phone; however, you also can connect to a fitness wearable device.
  4. Share your progress and experiences with the RAs in Motion Week-Long Step Challenge community using the Social Feed feature!
