The implementation of the Uniform Guidance in 2014 widened the path for alternative methodologies to meet the compliance requirements for compensation compliance compared to traditional effort reporting. This mini-intensive workshop will focus on the requirements outlined in 200.430 for the reimbursement of salary charges, the overall compliance framework for compensation that involves multiple units and individuals across campus, a review of different methodologies to perform the required after-the-fact review of salary, and a hands-on exercise to document an institution’s internal controls for compensation compliance with various real-life scenarios.
