Mariette Marsh, MPA, CIP/CHPC/CHRC

Assistant Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Integrity
University of Arizona

With over 20 years of experience in higher administration, Mariette has a developed skill set that focuses on research ethics, flexible application of regulatory requirements, and organizational improvement. She is the Assistant Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Integrity, at the University of Arizona and has oversight of the Human Subjects Protection Program (IRB), Institutional Animal Care & Use Program (IACUC), Quality, Embryonic Stem Cell Research, Research Laboratory Safety Services and Occupational Health. She also serves as the institution’s Research Integrity Officer. Mariette has a broad range of experience in both health care and social/behavioral research activities, mostly at academic medical centers and land-grant institutions. Mariette serves as a reviewer for accreditation of other institutions human research protection programs through AAAHRPP, has consulted for historically black (HBCU) and Hispanic serving institutions on process improvements and regulatory applicability, and is certified in HIPAA Privacy Protections, IRB regulations, and hospital research compliance. 

Farrell Rapp, CRA

Director of Research Services
University of Wyoming

Farrell Rapp serves as the Director of Research Services at the University of Wyoming, where she leads a team dedicated to advancing the university’s research mission. With a B.S. in Business Administration and an MBA from the University of Wyoming, Farrell brings 19 years of experience in research administration, supporting faculty and researchers in proposal development and submission, award negotiation, and non-financial post-award management. Passionate about fostering scientific discovery, Farrell is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Research Administration and Certification Council (RACC) and is an active Certified Research Administrator (CRA).

Chris Mangelli

Assistant Vice Provost of Research
Ball State University

Chris Mangelli is the Assistant Vice Provost of Research (AVPR) at Ball State University (BSU) in Muncie, IN.  Chris oversees' an integrated compliance office responsible for administrating the IRB, IACUC, and IBC committees, as well as the RCR, COI/COC, Export/Deemed Export Control, Biosafety/Bio-security, and Lab Safety programs.  Chris also serves as BSU's HIPAA Privacy Officer and the Export Control Officer.  Chris has presented on a variety of topics at several national conferences, including PRIM&R, SRAI, MSMR/Three Is, and NCURA.  Chris holds a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from the University of Maine School of Law, a master’s degree (MS) in Health Policy and Management from the University of Southern Maine, and a dual Master’s Degree in Allied Health Science/Master of Education (MS/M. Ed.) from Plymouth State University and the Catholic Medical Center.
