John Robinson Travel Scholarship

The John Robinson Travel Scholarship was established in 2012. Through this scholarship, SRAI acknowledges an endowment from John Robinson to honor his contribution to the Society by encouraging active participation of current SRAI members in the conference agenda. The scholarship is given each year and supports travel arrangements for speakers accepted to present at the SRAI Annual Meeting. 


What does the Scholarship Provide?

The John Robinson Travel Scholarship covers one full Annual Meeting registration and up to $2,000 in travel funds.

Am I eligible for the John Robinson Travel Scholarship?

The scholarship is open to current SRAI Members accepted to present at the SRAI Annual Meeting for the first time. 

What are the Scholarship Requirements?

Applicants must provide the following:

  • A letter of support from their supervisor stating their support and justifying the applicant's financial need..
  • A resume or CV showing they are in their early-career.
  • Proof of acceptance as a speaker for the SRAI Annual Meeting.
  • A brief statement describing how they will continue to engage with SRAI after presenting at the SRAI Annual Meeting.

Recipients of the John Robinson Travel Scholarship must provide a brief follow-up article about their presentation for the Catalyst Newsletter within two months after the SRAI Annual Meeting.

How is the decision made?

A special review Committee will convene to consider all applications when the submission deadline has closed. 

Applicants will be notified of acceptance at the end of July. 

The call for 2025 applications will open at the end of May.
