Final 2020 Coffee Talks are Soon

The 2020 Coffee Talk schedule is winding down -- don’t miss the final events of the year in November and December!

November 4, the spotlight was on working with PIs. Coffee Talk Discussion Leaders Jose Alcaine, Jason Chow, Tamara Hatch, and LaRon Scott hosted a talk on relationship building from both sides of the aisle - PI and research administrator. Developing and sustaining a solid relationship will lead to positive, professional, and productive outcomes. Addressing the way to achieve this will be discussed by research administrators and faculty investigators. To continue the conversation, follow up with the Discussion Leaders on Connect!

November 10, the discussion will be all about SRAI mentoring programs. Learn about the Odyssey Program and JRA Author Fellowship Program from a mentor and mentee standpoint. Miriam Campo, Philip Cola, Carlie Greven, and Angela White-Jones will be your Coffee Talk Discussion Leaders for this event.

The final Coffee Talk for 2020 will focus on foundations as sponsors. Unlike working with federal sponsors, foundations require a special skill set. Marilyn Korhonen, Fran Stephens, and Ellen Zavala will host this Coffee Talk to give you a better understanding of the distinctions you need to consider when working with these sources of project funding.

Coffee Talks are a benefit of full membership in SRA International at no additional charge. These discussion events will give participating members the chance to interact with the Coffee Talk Discussion Leaders for questions and a deeper examination into the event topic.
