Board of Directors Elections

Shape the future of our Profession by serving on our Board of Directors.

Nominations are now open for the following positions:

The deadline to submit nominations is Monday, July 1, 2024, 11:59 PM ET.

Help SRAI develop excellence in research administration, management and development of our profession by submitting a nomination to serve on the Board of Directors!

As a member of the Board of Directors, you will volunteer with a diverse group of leaders who will make decisions on SRAI's continued success.

Terms will begin at the close of the 2024 Annual Business Meeting in Chicago, following announcement of the election results. The terms will terminate at the close of the Annual Business Meeting in the appropriate year, depending on the length of the term for the position.


Who can submit a nomination?

You must be a Full Member of SRAI to nominate yourself or another member for office.

To submit a self-nomination or to nominate someone else for office, please complete the steps below.


Self-Nominations

Submit your self-nomination online or via email at elections@srainternational.org.

The following supporting documents will be required for all nominations. The supporting documents must be included with the online submission or the email submission.

  • 2024 Nomination Form (for email submissions).
  • A signed letter stating your qualifications and skills meet the stated responsibilities in the position description.
  • Copies of letters of support from three members from at least two Sections.
  • A curriculum vitae, with highlights of research administration experience, especially SRAI activities (and/or activities that demonstrate capability for the position).
  • A 150-word bio and professional photo (head and shoulders recommended) for publishing. The bio should include the reason for running and where you see the future of SRAI. This will be included on the ballot.
  • A 400-600-word article to be included in the Special Edition of the Catalyst. The article should include the reason for running and where you see the future of SRAI.
  • Letter of support from candidate's immediate supervisor on institutional letterhead.
  • Identify if you currently serve as an officer, board member, staff member, or committee chair for another Research Administration professional society in the US (i.e. PRIM&R, AUTM, NCURA, etc.) or internationally (i.e. SARIMA, RMAN-J, ARMS, EARMA, etc.).
  • Must agree to sign the SRAI Non-Disclosure Agreement if elected.

Nominate Another Member for Office

If you are a full member of SRAI, you may nominate another member for office online or via email at elections@srainternational.org.

  • Complete and submit the 2024 Nominator Form (for email submissions).
  • Submit a Letter of Support for the nominee.
  • Coordinate with the nominee to submit two additional letters of support from two different Sections. 

Nominees will be required to submit the following supporting documents by July 1, 2024: 

  • A signed letter of willingness to be nominated stating that their qualifications and skills meet the stated responsibilities in the position description.
  • Copies of letters of support from two members from at least two Sections. (Coordinate with the Nominator to submit these additional letters of support.)
  • A curriculum vitae, with highlights of research administration experience, especially SRAI activities (and/or activities that demonstrate capability for the position).

Completed Nomination Packets must be submitted by Monday, July 1, 2024 by 11:59 PM ET.
