2019 Midwest/Northeast Section Meeting
Please join us at the Midwest/Northeast Section Meeting April 28 - May 1, 2019 at the Hyatt Centric Magnificent Mile in beautiful downtown Chicago. A qualitative program will be offered in this vibrant city. Chicago is home to several world-class theaters, museums and educational institutions. We hope you will come to Chicago and expand your research administration knowledge, network with your colleagues, meet new friends, and explore this exciting and historic city.
EXPLORE. Chicago is known as a city to be toured—whether by foot, bike, trolley or even Segway. You could take a trip to the Chicago Riverwalk, visit the Navy Pier, enjoy a ride on the Ferris wheel, explore the Adler Planetarium, go to the Museum of Science and Industry, conquer your fear of heights at Willis Tower, attend a show and even take a picture with the famous bean in Millennium Park. There’s tons of fun things to learn and see.
DINE. There is an abundance of great award winning restaurants and pubs throughout the Chicago area. The variety of cuisines is extensive, so there is something for everyone. There are BYOB restaurants, award-winning pizza joints, rooftop restaurants with the most beautiful views, BBQ hotspots and tons of delicious desserts that show why Chicago's sweet treats are anything but basic.
LEARN. This meeting will offer three complete certificate programs – Research Development, Leadership and Clinical Trials 101 (CTR101) – as well as workshops, learning cafés, roundtables and six educational tracks to round out the program, including:
- Professional Development (PD)
- Clinical Research (CR)
- Management & Operations (MO)
- Financial & Post-Award Management (FM)
- Research Ethics & Compliance (RE)
- Sponsored Programs Planning, Development and Deliveries (SPP)
VOLUNTEER. We will be ramping up our planning soon, and we need your help!! If you are interested in helping plan the meeting, please visit our Volunteer Survey Monkey and let us know how you would like to help.
NETWORK. This meeting is the perfect opportunity to network with your fellow Research Administrators and to visit the historic City of Chicago #SRAIChicago2019! We hope to provide ample opportunities to mingle with your colleagues. As we know, making friends in the administration community is essential. We can’t do this complicated work alone.
Be sure to save the date on your calendar. We look forward to seeing you there!
