Erin Bhagvat

Erin Bhagvat is an Associate Director of Pre-Award Operations for the Morsani College of Medicine’s Office of Research at the University of South Florida. She has been involved in the pre-award and post-award grants management process for 18 years and throughout her career has managed a diverse portfolio spanning multiple federal and non-federal sponsors. Her previous experience includes comprehensive life-cycle grant management for the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Florida and Post-award financial management in the Office of Contracts and Grants at the University of Florida. Her current role, however, focuses on guiding researchers and research administrators through proposal development at both the college and department level.

With experience in both the hospital and university settings, Erin has come in contact with nearly every stage of the contract/grant and clinical trial lifecycle. Erin is passionate about research administration and continues to actively seek opportunities to sharpen her knowledge and expand her contributions to the field. As an active SRA member since 2012, Erin has had the opportunity to not only present at both regional and national conferences, but to chair the Financial Management track for the Southern Region section meetings in 2014 and 2015. The sense of fulfillment that this position has brought her has motivated her to pursue additional responsibilities at a different level of SRA. She is convinced that she has found the appropriate forum to dedicate her energy towards the professional development of individuals in research administration, both nationally and globally.
