Is the LevelUP micro-credential program and the Research Management Specialist Certificate completely online?
Yes! The LevelUP micro-credential program is 100% online and can be completed at the learner's own pace and at their own time. 

What is the difference between mGuides and modules? 
mGuides are compact learning experiences that serve as "how-to" guides for the learner to understand a specific skill set. Each mGuide takes about 1 hour to complete and there is no assessment. Completing three mGuides earns a Level 1 badge. 

Modules are more in-depth learning courses that go over larger topical areas (like Pre-Award, Post-Award Finance, Research Compliance, etc.) and are completed by taking a 50-question assessment. Each module takes about 2 to 5 hours to complete. Completing one module earns a Level 1 badge. 

How much time do I have to complete the mGuide or module and assessment?
Learners have 365 days from date of purchase to complete the mGuide or module and assessment. Within that time, you may complete the coursework at any time that works best for you and your schedule.

If I close the course, will my progress still be saved?
Yes. The courses are designed to save your progress and will automatically reload where you left off if you sign-out of the program.

Is there an online assessment? 
There is an online assessment for LevelUP modules that users must pass to complete the LevelUP module and earn their badge. 

 Is there a time limit for completing the Research Management Specialist Certificate?

Yes, you must complete the certificate in three years. However, your registration for the courses is valid for 365 days following your purchase. If you do not finish you must renew your registration to receive access. Modules can be completed individually, or you can register for our subscription.

Can my completed LevelUP mGuides and Modules be applied to the Research Management Specialist Certificate?

Yes, the past completion of mGuides and Modules can be applied to obtain the RMS Certificate.

What CEUs can be applied to the RMS Certificate?

Only CEUs from the LevelUP Micro-credential Program are eligible for the RMS certificate. This is a unique, self-contained program that offers both capacity building and competency demonstration for modern research administration professionals. The curriculum and structure for LevelUP are governed by an independent Council to maintain educational integrity and a high level of quality control.

Can I close the assessment to return and finish later?
Assessments must be taken in one sitting; progress is not saved and if you close out of the assessment you will need to retake the assessment from the beginning.

How long is the assessment?
The assessment is comprised of 50 questions that are chosen at random and there is no time limit to complete the assessment as long as it is completed in one sitting.

What types of questions are on the assessment?
Question styles include multiple choice and true/false.

What is the assessment’s passing score?
Learners must earn a minimum score of 75% to pass the module and earn CEU credit.

How many times am I allowed to take the assessment?
Learners are allowed to take the assessment up to a maximum of 4 times. If a learner fails to pass the exam after their 4th try, they must re-purchase the module to obtain CEU credit and earn a LevelUP badge.

Is the assessment open book?
Yes, the assessment is open book! Learners can go back into the module and review content as they work on the assessment.

What is the LevelUP Research Management Specialist badge?
The LevelUP  Research Management Specialist Certificate badge is a downloadable credential you received upon completing a 39 CEUs thorough the completion of LevelUP Modules & mGuides, and Case Study to showcase your learning.

How do I obtain access to my completed badge Micro-credential for modules and mGuides?
Upon passing the assessment, learners will receive an email with instructions on how to download their Micro-credential and showcase it on various platforms.

How do I obtain access to the Badge for the Research Management Specialist Certificate?
Upon completion of the case study, you will receive the badge in your email. You will be able to download it and showcase it on all platforms to show off your acquired knowledge and expertise.

Where can I display my Research Management Specialist Certificate badge?
Badges link to email signature lines and social media accounts for easy viewing by colleagues, organizations, and prospective employers.  

What is the cancellation and refund policy? 
All LevelUp purchases are non-refundable and ineligible for cancellation.
