We have been working closely with the El Conquistador, A Waldorf Astoria Resort in Puerto Rico for the 2018 Annual Meeting in the last 3 months to make sure that the conditions and experience is up to par with what SRAI offers each year to its members. We regret to inform you that the El Conquistador is not going to be able to offer us the services and space promised. That would mean potentially fewer educational opportunities, and constraints around activities that are in development for the conference.
Because we did not deem this to be acceptable, the SRAI Executive Committee of the Board of Directors tasked staff with seeking out and evaluating alternative locations for the 2018 SRAI Annual Meeting. This was not a decision we took lightly.
We met yesterday to discuss alternatives, and are pleased to announce that we have two new locations: Philadelphia, PA and Orlando, FL. Given the scope and size of the meeting, the list of alternative locations was not endless. We had to carefully considered the available locations, taking into account not only a city’s ability to accommodate SRAI’s preferred meeting dates and provide the needed transit and hotel options, but more importantly, its ability to offer the space and flexibility we need to create a program that will advance your experience and allow our attendees to find and connect with others who share their passion.
But we need your vote for one of those locations. Please use the poll below and mark your preference for:
