Plan for the 2019 Western/Southern Section Meeting
Travel Scholarship – Deadline: Friday, January 18
Interested in attending but worried about the expense? If you are from one of the Southern or Western states, you might be eligible for a travel scholarship which would cover the cost of your basic conference registration (does not include membership or workshops). The scholarship is worth several hundred dollars in savings. Click here to see if you qualify to apply.
Registration – Early Bird Closes Friday, February 8
Conference registration is open for the 2019 Western/Southern Section Meeting March 10 -13 in sunny San Diego, California! Early Bird Registration closes Friday, February 8th, so book soon to take advantage of this great chance to save.

Silent Auction – Seeking Donations
We are seeking donations for the 2019 Western/Southern Section Meeting Silent Auction. Every year the funds from the Silent Auction are put towards funding travel scholarships for our members to the next year’s section meeting. Donations have ranged from crafted items (jewelry, ceramics, and business card holders) to store bought (wine, gift cards, and gift baskets), so there is room for a plethora of selections and price ranges. More information on how to sign up will be forthcoming at a later time.

Whether you are attending the conference solo or with a group, the hospitality suite is a great opportunity to mingle with your fellow attendees over snacks and drinks or maybe even a card or board game if you are so inclined. Because the vibe is low-key, it’s also a great way to wind down from a busy travel or conference day before calling it a night.
