Note from the Editor | Communications Task Force

Happy February!  We’re finally approaching spring, a time of new beginnings.  And, in that spirit, what better time to tell you about a new SRAI initiative?

The Communications Task Force is a brand new, special committee that was established by the Board of Directors to find ways to evaluate and integrate existing communication tools (e.g., The Catalyst, The Journal, website, and online platforms).  President Elect Debra Schaller-Demers is leading this exciting, yet challenging, mission.   The Task Force includes members from all geographical sections of SRAI, and members of The Catalyst, The Journal, The Membership and Awards Committees, and The Board of Directors.  Over the next months the group will be examining SRAI’s various modes of communication:  What are they?  What are their strengths and weaknesses?  Are our members’ needs being met?  How can we utilize communications to attract new members and retain existing members?

As we embark on this mission, we at The Catalyst extend an invitation for you to provide the Task Force with your thoughts and feedback about SRAI’s various means of communication.  There are several ways you can provide input:  Send an email to catalyst@srainternatiolnal.org; comment on this post (scroll to the bottom of the post to comment); or post a message to the Catalyst though SRAI’s online platform.   Your input will be used to help the Taskforce in its mission.  SRAI is your organization and we want to know that we’re meeting your communication needs, or if we’re not, what we can do to improve. Thank you in advance for your participation.,
