Welcome and Introduction to SRAI

Welcome to all Newcomers! We are hoping to help you navigate the annual meeting program to get the most out of your registration possible. We want to make sure your questions are answered and that you have several opportunities to develop networking contacts. We invite you to participate in the many activities planned at the conference in general and specifically the ones planned for Newcomers.

There will be a Newcomers Welcome Event kick off on Monday, October 5 at 6:00 PM Eastern Time with games and networking to follow. At this first meeting we’ll go over a variety of items of interest such as layout of the sessions, what tracks are, the certificate program, leadership introductions, and we’ll do some networking.

A special Connect group is set up for the Newcomers – you can post questions or ask for advice from ‘seasoned’ research administrators (called Ambassadors). There will also be ‘questions of the day’ posted either based off input from different newcomers or to encourage discussion and network development. Join now!

At the end of the first day of each track, there will be an After Hours Education Mixer where you can visit with other attendees, discuss what you like or didn’t get a chance to attend that day, plan future session attendance, and do some more networking. Make sure to come with your camera on!

We hope to make the iSRA 2020 Virtual Annual Meeting a wonderful experience for you, so please take advantage of as many activities as possible and do let us know if there are any suggestions to improve our outreach.
