My favorite book this summer has been The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab.  It is the story of a young woman in the 1700s who, after being pressured to marry a man she barely knows, feels she is not able to live her own life and also that she does not have enough time to experience all that she desires.  So she makes a "Faustian bargain" to live forever, but in exchange everyone she meets will forget her once she is out of sight.  This is a great escape and very well-written book!
