Place Your Bets for Innovation and Adventure

Our next international meeting is only four months away! We are excited to welcome you all to Las Vegas where we can network, learn, and share our experiences in the amazing world of research administration.

As we plan the behind-the-scenes details for the upcoming meeting, many of you are hopefully enjoying summer vacations and managing your busy schedules. It seems like the perfect opportunity to let you all in on what Las Vegas has to offer.

With the format a little different from previous years, the meetings will happen  Monday – Friday (October 31-November 4, 2022). This makes it optimal to spend a little extra time in the area over the weekend, either before or after the meeting – or both.

First and foremost, our hotel is the one and only Caesars Palace Las Vegas. It’s just as many may imagine - the grand colosseum in Rome and luxurious surroundings. The hotel offers multiple restaurants and the opportunity to see amazing shows. Don’t forget to get your rooms booked as soon as possible.

Around town:

  • Shows, shows, shows, and more shows! It’s impossible to list them all, but if you look at the offerings in Vegas, there is something for everyone!
  • You can take an open bus or Jeep tour through the city.
  • Museums! Who isn’t interested in the mob scene? You can check out the Las Vegas Mob Museum and learn all about the organized crime history in Vegas.
  • Across from the hotel, you will find the LINQ Promenade. There are several restaurants, shops, and a Museum of Selfies (that is more fun that you think). The nighttime view of Vegas from the High Roller Observation Wheel is incredible. Take a zipline trip through the Promenade if flying is your secret superpower wish.
  • Shopping! Everywhere!!!

For some grand outdoor adventures:

  • Grand Canyon – The Grand Canyon is stunning. Consider this as a destination before or after the meeting to observe the beautiful nature the Southwest has to offer. There are bus tours and the adventurous can take a helicopter tour.
  • Emerald Cove Kayak Tour – Enjoy a guided tour along the Colorado River and explore the adventure in Emerald Cove.

There is so much more that Las Vegas has to offer, but we are hoping that this gives you some ideas on how to spend your time before/after sessions and the meeting.

Wait! I should probably tell you more about the actual meeting. Check out the SRAI 2022 Las Vegas Annual Meeting for information about registration, hotel reservations, and upcoming programming.

We are looking forward to seeing all of you soon.
