Note from the Editor | Colorful Winter

Ah, February – the month in which I am (mostly) typing the correct year on the first try, my New Year’s resolutions are a little less shiny but still in action, the weather (where I live anyway) is rainy and cold, and Valentine’s Day feels like an attempt to make winter a little more colorful and peppier.

This month the Catalyst continues our three-part Spotlight series regarding research data with Carly Pigg. And check out part two of Sean Scott’s article series about the state of research administration as a field. Additionally, if you missed David Phipps’ presentation on impact strategies in grant applications at the 2022 SRAI Annual Meeting, you still have a chance to learn more here!

For those who have a resolution aimed at professional development, Dr. Olumide Odeyemi shares with us information on reflective practice and Hanna Bates’ provides a literary review on Unreasonable Hospitality by Will Guidara.

Also, a quick reminder for those interested in presenting, the iSeries Conference Call for Proposals are due February 22.

As we move forward into 2023, we at the Catalyst would love to hear what interests you – what do you want to learn more about, think will be the next big thing, or feel we are missing? Submit your articles to the Catalyst any time here. Thanks, as always, for reading along with us.
